How to use — Merchant & seller guide

🧭Two ways to sell

Either way, we collect the money from the buyer and deliver the item, and you get paid after the return period ends.

• “Consignment”: for anyone with one or a few items. You hand us the item; we check it, photograph it, list it and sell it. If it sells we take only 10%.
• “Merchant account”: for shop owners. You add your products to auctions or the shop yourself. The item stays at your shop until it sells, then our courier collects it.

📦Selling on consignment

1. 1Create a Chakuch Bid account (if you don't have one).
2. 2Contact us, hand over the item, and tell us how you want to be paid (cash with the courier, FIB, ZainCash, Qi Card).
3. 3We register it in your name and list it at auction. Follow it from “Account” → “My consignments”.
4. 4If it doesn't sell we list it again. If it still doesn't sell after two tries, you collect it from us.
5. 5If it sells: sale price − 10% = “Your net amount”, paid after the return period (3 days from delivery to the buyer).

📝Opening a merchant account

1. 1Log in and open “Account”.
2. 2At the bottom tap “🏪 I want to become a merchant”, enter “Shop name” and “What do you sell?”, then “Send request”.
3. 3We call you and approve the request. You'll get the notification “Your account is now a merchant account”.
4. 4The “Merchant area (my products)” appears in “Account” (page /merchant).

💡 New merchants pay no commission for their first 30 days. If a merchant invited you with their link, open the link before sending the request so it's recorded.

🏬The merchant page — what's in it?

• “Pickups”: sold items the courier will come to collect.
• “My store”: your store code, our commission, the bulk discount and your merchant invite link.
• “Relist in auction”: your ended auctions, to list again.
• “Your shop address”: where the courier comes.
• “⚡ Quick add from photos”, “Add a product” and “Add many products with Excel”.
• “My submitted products”: every product you sent and its status.
• The “My consignments” button: your sales and payouts.

📍Enter your shop address first

The courier comes to this address to collect sold items. Buyers never see it.

1. 1On the merchant page open “Your shop address (for pickups)”.
2. 2Enter the shop name and phone, and choose the governorate, district and nearest landmark.
3. 3Pin the shop on the map and save.

➕Adding a product with the form

1. 1In “Add a product” choose the type: “🔨 Auction” or “🛍️ Shop (fixed price)”.
2. 2Write the “Title (Arabic)” and description. “✨ Auto-translate” fills in Kurdish and English for you.
3. 3List defects in “Notes & defects” (or pick from “⚠️ Ready-made defects”), and choose the category and condition.
4. 4For auctions: “Starting price (IQD)” (250 or more), “Minimum increment”, “Market price (IQD)” (also the “Buy now” price) and “Auction length” (1 hour to 30 days).
5. 5For the shop: “Selling price (IQD)” and “Quantity in stock”.
6. 6Add photos (at least one) and an item video if you like.
7. 7Tick the no-advertising pledge, then tap “Send for approval”.

💡 Be honest about defects. A listed defect is not a reason to return; an unlisted one can send the item back with no payment to you.

🔒The secret reserve price

In “Secret minimum — the amount you want to receive” enter the amount you want to receive yourself (net, after commission).

The system adds our commission and shows the “Auction minimum (with commission)”. Example: you want 100,000 net, so the auction minimum becomes 105,500 IQD.

If bids don't reach it, the item isn't sold and no commission is due. Bidders never see the amount — only whether it's been met.

⚠️ The minimum after commission must not be higher than the market price you entered.

🔁Pieces and relisting

• “📦 Number of pieces”: if you have more than one of the same item, enter the number. After each sale the next one is listed.
• “🔁 Put it back automatically (don't ask me)”: if it doesn't sell, it's listed again without asking you.
• “Relist in auction”: on the merchant page you see your ended auctions (sold / not sold); change the number and tap “🔁 Relist”.

⚡Quick add with photos

1. 1Open “⚡ Quick add from photos”.
2. 2Take photos with the camera or pick up to 8 from your gallery. Choose the cover photo.
3. 3Add a short note if you like (you can dictate it), and tap “Write it for me”.
4. 4AI writes the title, description, category and defects in three languages and suggests a market price.
5. 5Check everything, set the price, choose auction or shop, then send it for approval.

📊Uploading many products with Excel

1. 1On the merchant page open “Add many products with Excel” and tap “Download the template”.
2. 2Put each product on its own row: title, description, category, condition (new, like new, used), starting price, minimum increment, market price, length in days, photo names (e.g. 1.jpg, 2.jpg), notes & defects.
3. 3Choose the Excel file, then choose all the photos named in it.
4. 4Check the preview and tap “Send”. All products go for approval.

🚫Photo and video rules

• Photos and videos show the product only, well lit and from several sides.
• Strictly forbidden: your shop name or logo, phone numbers, WhatsApp/Instagram/Facebook/TikTok accounts, addresses, watermarks or any text on the image.
• “🎬 Condition video before shipping (private)”: only the admin sees it, and it protects you if a buyer claims a defect that isn't there.

⚠️ Products that break these rules are rejected, and repeat offences can close the merchant account.

⏳Product approval

• Every product you add appears in “My submitted products” as “Awaiting approval”.
• After review it becomes “Approved” and goes live, or “Rejected” with the reason.
• You can “Withdraw” a product while it's awaiting for approval.
• We may edit the description or photos to make them clearer.

🛵After a sale: pickup from your shop

1. 1You get a notification when your item sells, and it appears under “Pickups”.
2. 2Prepare the item and pack it well.
3. 3The courier comes on the pickup round (today or the next round) and you hand it over.

⚠️ The buyer pays us, not you. Never take money from the courier or the buyer.

💰Our commission

Our merchant commission depends on each item's price: 8% up to 100,000 IQD, 5% up to 500,000 IQD and 3% above that, capped at 40,000 IQD per item (or a special agreed rate). New merchants pay no commission for their first 30 days.

• Examples (sale price → commission): 50,000 IQD → 4,000 IQD · 350,000 IQD → 17,500 IQD · 1,200,000 IQD → 36,000 IQD.
• If we agreed a special rate with you, it shows in “My store” instead of the tiers.
• If you give the buyer a “bulk discount”, the commission is on the price after the discount.
• You can see all the maths in “My store” and “My consignments”.

🏷️Bulk discount (optional)

The discount is applied automatically to the buyer's order and comes out of your share. The highest allowed discount is 30%.

1. 1In “My store” open “Bulk discount”.
2. 2Enter “From how many items” (e.g. 5) and “Discount %” (e.g. 5).
3. 3Tap “Save”. Your offer shows on all your items: “Buy 5 or more items from this store and get 5% off”.
4. 4To stop it, tap “Turn off”.

💡 A bulk discount encourages buyers to take several items from you instead of one.

🔢Store code and store page

• When your account is approved, your store gets a permanent code like CB‑4827. This is what buyers see instead of your name, and it never changes.
• Your store page: chakuchbid.com/store/CB‑4827 — all your auctions, products and rating.
• Buyers' ratings show next to your code, so describe items honestly and pack them well.

💵Your payouts and when you get them

• Open “My consignments”: for each item you'll see the “Sale price”, any “Buyer's bulk discount”, “Our commission”, “Your net amount” and “Payout date”.
• Shop sales: “Waiting” → “Ready to collect” → “Paid”.
• Payouts are ready once the buyer has received the item and the return period (3 days) has ended, as long as there's no open return on it.
• If the buyer returns the item for a genuine defect, the item comes back to you and no payment is due.

🤝Invite a merchant and earn

1. 1In “My store” copy “Your invite link” or tap “Share”.
2. 2Send it to a shop owner. They open the link and ask to become a merchant.
3. 3Once we approve them, your earnings start and you get a notification.

• You get 20% of our commission on all their sales for 6 months.
• Plus a 25,000 IQD bonus when they reach 10 delivered sales.
• Earnings count after the buyer receives the item and the return period ends; you'll see “Pending”, “Due” and “Paid”.
• Due earnings are paid together with your sales payouts.

⚠️ An invite doesn't count if the new merchant shares your phone, device or place. Creating fake accounts to earn from invites stops the earnings and closes the account.

📦For companies & big merchants: your products from Excel

1. 1On the “Merchant page”, scroll to “📦 Your products from Excel”.
2. 2If your prices are in dollars, enter “Your dollar rate” (IQD per 100 USD) and tap “Update prices”.
3. 3Choose an Excel file. An Odoo export works as-is: Inventory → Products → Export (Internal Reference, Name, Sales Price, Quantity On Hand).
4. 4Check the column matching, choose whether prices are in IQD or USD, and the section for new products.
5. 5Optional: pick photos, each named like the product code (e.g. T1.jpg).
6. 6Tap “Upload”. New products wait for our approval unless you are a “Trusted merchant”.

• Every time you upload the file again, only the price and quantity of each product (by its code) are updated, without approval.
• When you change your dollar rate, all your dollar-priced products update instantly; prices are rounded up to the nearest 250.
• “Safety stock”: set it to 2 and with 10 in stock the site shows 8, so nothing sells online that already ran out in your store.
• Orders placed before a price change keep their price.

⚠️ Keep each product's code fixed. If you change a code in the file, the system treats it as a new product.

📣Advertise your item (paid ad)

1. 1Open the “Merchant page” and scroll to “📣 Advertise your item”.
2. 2Pick one of your running auctions or an in-stock shop product.
3. 3Choose where it shows: the home page (auctions), the shop page, or both. The price per day is under each option.
4. 4Set the number of days. You see the total right away, and 7 days or more get an automatic discount.
5. 5Choose how to pay: “Deduct from my earnings” (nothing to pay now), or “Transfer now” to FIB, ZainCash or Qi Card with the receipt or transaction number.
6. 6Tap “Send ad request”. Once we approve it, your item appears in the big banner at the top of the page and you get a notification.

• The ad shows the item's photo and price, with an “Ad” label.
• Under “My ads” you see the status, start and end dates, clicks, and whether it's paid or will be deducted.
• You can cancel a request while it's waiting for approval.
• An auction ad never runs past the auction's end, and a product ad disappears by itself when the product sells out.

⚠️ Ad fees aren't refunded if the item sells out or the auction ends before the ad period is over. We may decline any ad that breaks the rules and will tell you why.

⛔Important don'ts

• Bidding on your own items, or letting a relative, friend or any account linked to you (same device, address or network) bid on them. The system detects it and rejects the bid; your payouts may be held and the account closed.
• Having more than one account.
• Selling fake, stolen or banned products.
• Dealing with the buyer outside the platform or taking money from them directly.
